About Frank Briscoe

The great, late Edward Everett Hale, American author and Unitarian minister, said, “I am only one, but I am one.  I can't do everything, but I can do something.  The something I ought to do, I can do.  And by the grace of God, I will.”  These profound, century-old words have been an inspiration to me for more than thirty years.  For the past five years, Hale’s words have motivated me to “do something” to fight the battle against Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

My name is Frank Briscoe.  I have “Biked the Ozark Region MS150” for the past five years.  While each event has been personally rewarding, it has been from the start “The something I ought to do.  I can do.  And by the grace of God, I will.”  My family and friends have been remarkably supportive and generous.  They made it possible for me to achieve my “Bike MS150” goals.  With my efforts and the efforts of many, many others who “Bike for MS”, the MS Society has made significant strides primarily in the area of research and support.  The cure is still out there.  They need to find it and I need to do whatever I can to ensure they do.

To continue the fight to raise MS awareness and to find a cure, I have signed up for the 2011 “Bike the U.S. for MS” tour.  “I can’t do everything” so I am once again asking anyone who can dig deep in their hearts and their pockets and support me.

I am certain you have someone special in your life as I do who suffers with MS or has lost their life due to complications of the disease.  We have to stop it!  That can only happen with awareness and funding.  Please join me!  Let’s do this together!

My goal is ambitious but we need to move fast to find a cure and provide new treatments for MS victims.  I hope to raise $10,000 during the 2011 cross country biking tour.  To get it started, I have contributed $2000.

This is yet another quote in the words of the legendary Benjamin Franklin, “Well done is better than well said.”  I hope I have said it well enough to stir you to help.  I promise you I will give the “Bike the U.S. for MS” tour everything I have. It will be “well done” with your support.
