About Julia Beverly
Julia Beverly does it all. She first made her mark in the music industry as publisher and Editor-in-Chief of popular Southern rap publication OZONE Magazine, a print glossy released monthly from 2002-2010. During that time, she also produced the OZONE Awards (2006-2008) which aired on MTV Jams.
Beverly was able to utilize her contacts within the music industry to become a successful booking agent, launching Agency Twelve in 2008. Agency Twelve helped coordinate Lil Wayne's 2015 Sorry For The Wait mixtape tour. Beverly also continued her work as a photographer, videographer, and journalist, touring worldwide with artists such as Flo Rida and Rick Ross.
In 2015 Beverly authored and self-published her first book, a 700 page biography of influential musician Chad "Pimp C" Butler. Sweet Jones: Pimp C's Trill Life Story was an Amazon bestseller and received critical acclaim. She has been profiled in publications such as Businessweek and the Orlando Sentinel, while her work has graced the pages of The New York Times, VIBE, The Source, The Houston Chronicle and more.
An avid runner, Beverly has completed distance runs (5Ks, 10Ks, half-marathons, marathons and more) all the way from Iceland to the Great Wall of China, and hiked everywhere from the Grand Canyon to the Inca Trail. In early 2016, she joined a spur-of-the-moment cycling trip from Atlanta to Miami, completing 833 miles in 18 days despite torrential rain and other setbacks.
