About Kaylyn Messenger
My name is Kaylyn and I am really excited to be route leading the Pacific Coast with Ernie and Sully! They rode across the country together last summer on the TransAm team, and I'm so glad they've decided to come back and lead their own trip. I've been involved with this organization since the summer of 2015 when I rode the Northern Tier route as a cyclist. Last summer, I was a route leader for the amazing 2016 TransAm team, and this year I am beyond thrilled to be officially working for Bike the US for MS as the Route Coordinator. Since I'll be working from the road, I'll also be a route leader for the Northern Tier, Pacific Coast, and Southern Tier routes.
I'm 23 years old, a graduate of Bowling Green State University, and am currently working as a Social Worker in my hometown until I fully begin this position in May. Raising money and spreading the word about Multiple Sclerosis is something that is so, so important to me. In the summer of 2014, my Aunt passed away from complications of MS, which is why I got involved. I cannot say enough about how amazing this organization is.
To my team, it looks like we have a lot of alumni...so WELCOME BACK. You all already know this is going to be amazing, and I can't wait to explore the wonders of the Pacific Coast with you all. If you're new to Bike the US for MS and this is your first trip, welcome to the family. We're going to have a blast, and do a lot of good for a lot of really great people. See you in August!
