About Caitlyn Fitch
Hey everyone! My name is Caitlyn and I am super excited for this opportunity. I am currently a full-time student at Metropolitan State University and I just performed my official switch into their School of Education. I also work as the assistant manager at Grandrabbit's Toy Shoppe and as an assistant instructor at both Sereff and Thornton Taekwon-Do.
I have long thought that biking across country would be a life-changing experience, but I thought it would be something I'd have to do by myself before I found this program. The idea of actually making such a huge difference for myself as well as for others was a possibility I just could not pass by.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a serious condition in which the myelin sheath which protects all of our nerves and helps to send messages from one nerve to another begins to deteriorate. It can affect any part of your nervous system from your vision to motor control to speech and even thought. I have personally watched a family friend struggle to stay ahead of her condition and try treatment after treatment. But she always has a smile and a story to share with anyone.
I am so, so proud to get the opportunity to share in paving the way towards a cure. I know that this one ride won't guarantee the cure, but it will guarantee progress and in the end that is all we can really hope for.
Thank you all for you help! May you all have a year of joy and fortune. Keep smiling!
