About John Loyer
I'm John Loyer from Hardyston, NJ. I will be 65 years old as I start out from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL, a trip of over 3,000 miles. I have wanted to complete a trans America ride for a long time. When I became aware of the MS ride it was a natural fit. I get to complete a "bucket-list" goal while I raise funds for a great organization! In the past I have completed a Boston to NYC ride for Aids as well as running a marathon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. By far this will be the greatest challenge!
I'm excited and nervous at the same time! My Wife Diane, family and friends have been very supportive as I thought about taking on this challenge. You should know that I am paying for my flights, meals for the entire 3,070 miles, and the cost for shipping my bicycle. We will sleep in tents for the majority of the adventure as well. Any donation you make will directly impact the organization at the highest level. The MS organization is a top rated charity with a 100% score for financial transparency, (Charity Navigator).
I am asking for your support with a donation now! The ride begins September 7th and finishes on October 29th. Please do what you can. I will keep you informed through training and as the ride happens. Any donation is appreciated and important. Click on that button and follow through!!
Thank you so much!!!
