My name is Eliza Cohen and this will be my first trip with Bike the US for MS. I am so excited to begin the adventure and to meet everyone in a mere few months. I, perhaps quite fittingly, have always been pretty mobile. I grew up in a suburb outside of Boston, graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010 (Go Tarheels!), and now currently live and work in Austin, TX.
Having been to sleep-away camp for 8 summers (I still talk about it incessantly…) and playing sports since I could walk, I love to be active outside. Biking emerged as a passion of mine as a teenager, when I rode unsupported from Paris to Rome with a group of students. Ever since then, I have dreamed about biking across the country. Last year, a close and long time friend from childhood was diagnosed with MS. I cannot think of a better and more special way to fight the disease for her and everyone affected than working with a team biking cross country. Looking forward to meeting you all soon!
