I picked up cycling as a hobby in the early 90's, first riding on a very nice Trek hybrid and eventually making the step up to a road bike.  My wife and riding partner, Tanya, told me last fall that she wanted to do the Bike the US for MS TransAm ride.  I was somewhat surprised, but thought, "wow, how cool" and what an accomplishment that would be.  As the idea became a reality, we talked about how we might share the experience.  We have been doing training rides together this spring, which has been great because we have been riding with purpose.  I decided that I really wanted to support Tanya by riding with her for the first three days of the ride and to celebrate her accomplishment and for that matter, the accomplishment of the entire team by accompanying everyone on the last three days into San Francisco.
