About Peter Batinski
Last year I completed the Northern Tier trail with Bike the US for MS and can not put into words how excited I am to ride again with the alumni and new cyclists on such an amazing journey.
Raising awareness for MS is something personally close to me, and I couldn't think of a better way to do it than cycling across the country. Every town small or large that we stopped in, people wanted to hear our story and why we were cycling. Not only was it an amazing experience during the ride to see how my actions influenced awareness for MS, but it was even more incredible to see how the money I raised was put into action with service projects and other such events we attended.
Unfortunately though this summer I will not be able to ride the entire Northern Tier. Bike the US for MS not only helped me raise awareness and funds for MS but also was of a great help to me in the world of work. i went to school for brewing science and technology and naturally I stopped at every brewery possible last summer to learn more about my work. While in Sandpoint Idaho I stopped into a brewery called Laughing Dog, it turned out they needed a new brewer. So I put my resume in and when arriving in Seattle I was offered the job right after the ride. Soon after that I turned right around and now I live in Sandpoint. Due to an incredible demand for our amazing beer I will not be able to take all summer off to ride, but our at brewmaster at Laughing Dog sees this as an important event and wants me to ride. So he gave me as much time as possible off to ride for such an amazing reason.
So from St. Marys Montana to Sandpoint Idaho I will be riding hard and speaking with as many people as possible as to why we are riding. Can't wait to see everyone!
