About Nils Axen
My name is Nils Axen and I am currently a fourth year student of Architecture at Cornell University. I am eager to hit the road and work hard for this amazing cause!
Bike the US for MS is a cross-continental mission to provide help for those suffering from Multiple Sclerosis and to raise awareness about the disease.
I am dedicating my ride to a family friend, Paul Kanelba. Years ago, Paul and my dad bought bikes together. Tragically, Paul later developed Multiple Scelrosis and could no longer ride his bike, so he gave it to my dad. He in turn gave it to me, and I have been riding Paul’s bike for years since. I would like to honor him by dedicating this Bike the US for MS ride to him.
Our team will be biking from Bar Harbor ME to Seattle WA (4,295 miles) in 68 days. We will average 70 miles each day on the road. During the ride we will be raising awareness for MS and completing service projects for people with MS along the way. I will be raising $1 for every mile I ride to reach my goal of $4,295 in support of MS research and patient car, and I can’t do it without your generous help.
