About Bill Alewine
I was a colllege student in 1970 when I saw a 10-speed road bike for the first time. It was a Peugeot PX-10 that belonged to a buddy of mine. A couple years later he sold it to me. In the summer of 1972 rode it from Seattle to Boston and down East Coast to Athens, Georgia. I still have that bike and recently had it restored. I am really looking forward to hitting the road again, but this time I will be wearing a helmet!
I am excited about riding a portion of the coast-to-coast Southern Tier with this group of riders dedicated to finding a cure for MS. The trip will begin in San Diego mid-September and head for points east. I hope to ride the first thousand miles on this route, finishing my segment near El Paso, Texas. I know my family and friends will be cheering me on and I invite them to help me in reaching my fund raising goal of $2,000 for this important cause.
