About Michael Struble

Currently, I believe my personal mission in life is to use my gift of adaptation.  To adapt means to become adjusted to new conditions.  Whether that is to adapt to new surroundings, different world views, new relationships, or even to adapt to a situation such as letting a stranger guide me 1,800 miles along the Pacific Coast of the United States.

I wish to be successful but I am also still trying to define what success means to me.  My hope is to help others in need and use my every ability to do so.  I hope to put myself in more situations where I can give help and aid others.  I would like to connect with others in more meaningful ways because I have witnessed this practice "light a fire within" and create contagious inspiration.

By not remaining static these goals have become reachable and realized.  By participating in this bike ride I have begun to journey towards new insights into the world and myself.  My goal is to remain active, make plans for the future while remaining mindful of the present and appreciative of the past.  Movement helps me to keep improving.  My one year goal is to learn more about myself; understand more of my skills and strengths, have those coexist with a lifestyle and/or career.  I want to lead a life that will make me and the people close to me proud.

As I begin to prepare for the next steps leading up to this bike ride, I know this will be one of the hardest things I have ever had to face.  In light of this realization, I am also reminded how closely I have been affected by Multiple Sclerosis and how my hardships will eventually help others directly or indirectly affected by MS in the future.

Please help me reach my minimum goal of $1,852 (one dollar for every mile I plan to bike).  Our contributions will help someone affected by MS experience some of the pleasures we may take for granted.  I encourage everyone to explore more into the website and this organization so you may better understand what Multiple Sclerosis is, its' effects, and how what we are doing will impact someone's way of life.

***Many expenses will be covered by the fundraising minimum, including all overnight accommodations, tires and tubes, maps, team apparel, support vehicles, route leaders, minor bike maintenance and some team meals.  Since up to 50% of the minimum goal could go towards these expenses I plan on donating half the minimum.  I am thankful to have the physical ability to be able to be a part of this ride when others cannot and have decided to view my donation as more of an investment in a lifelong memory.
