About Mike Platania

Greetings! I'm Mike.

A short history of me:

1991: I was born. It was neat.

1992-2013: A lot of adolescence and events inconsequential to this bio.

2014: I graduated college with a desire to get out and see the world. I rode the Northern Tier and was convinced it was the peak of life.

2015: I lacked direction in life (or a career, however you like to put it). I wound up riding the Northern Tier again. After Seattle, I returned to "reality" to find a "career", when I was given the opportunity to be Bike the US for MS's Program Manager. Much like birth, this was neat.

And now, after breaking up with the Northern Tier, I'm now set to lead the TransAm, which I anticipate to have all the unnerving, confused excitement typically reserved for first dates.

Seeing the direct impact multiple sclerosis has on people is jarring, but witnessing how Bike the US for MS is able to make MS patients' lives just a bit better is among the most rewarding things I've been a part of.

I'm fortunate to have Bike the US for MS be such an integral part of my life, and I'm excited to be back on the road this summer!
